Calorimetry, hat and shawl, plea for longer DPs

these are the finished calorimetrys . Also a hat I made on DPs:) Yes you heard that right DPs:)) No pattern just see what happened. I do however desperately need a source of longer DPs, size 6 and 7mm. Sock needles I have are way too short for chunky wool hats. Yarn in hat is mix of colinette chenille(Isis??) and a mohair unnamed. Calorimetry are Noro blues and red ones are Mountain colors bearfoot yarn.
Finally shawl is some boucle from ebay and pattern is garter with increases by YO at edges. Phew think thats me up to date.

Love your latest Calorimetrys, really great colours :-) Cute hat too! I'm the other way with DPNs, I only use them at the end of a hat and I like the short ones, the longer they are the more like wrestling a porcupine it becomes :-D

I love the hat and Colorimetries, funny buttons! Unfortunately I cannot help you with the longer dpns, I can only find the short ones in Poland, too.

The calorimetrys look beautiful, I love the colours of Noro. The hat looks cool too!
How many shawls do you think you've knitted? One or two I bet!! ;)

Beautiful colour choices.

Are you wanting metal or wood/bamboo? Crystal Palace makes an 8 inch US10.5 which would be 6.5mm (bamboo) and Fiddlesticks have longer dps but I don't know how large their needles go...(mine are 3mm)(wooden)....
The hat is gorgeous as are all the Calorimetrys, and love the colours in the shawl.
You've been very busy.

Love your hats and shawls so many pretty colors! I've printed the Caliometry pattern but haven't made it yet. And I have Nancy Wiseman's shawl book too - I've made the Wool Peddlars shawl. Im sorry about your uncle...

Dear SP Amber... for another secret exchange project I think the calorimetry is perfect. Yours are gorgeous! I have something great in my 'collection', but it's not quite 50 grms. Would you do me a favour and weigh one of your calorimetries and please, please tell me the weight. Thank you in advance.
