Woolmisery (Wollmeise) and alpaca fleece giveaway

I am giving away the above yarn. There is over 300gm in the 2 skeins of Wollmeise you see before you.
I've started a shawl, pattern is faraway so close, and I don't like it:( I don't want to frog it and make something else so I'm offering it to you. Leave a comment on the blog if you would like the yarn. I will post world wide. I'll draw a winner Friday morning. If you haven't tried Wollmeise this is your chance. I've made several shawls with it and socks but this just isn't working for me:(

I also have a giveaway for the spinners or felters, a pillowcase of washed white alpaca fleece. All ready to spin. Again just comment if you would like this.
I have also mentioned the giveaway on Ravelry and I know some of you are members there as well.

Today was brought to you by giveaway Wednesday:)

On a side note, very observant BW to notice the new colour:)

Interesting theme for a give away. Sorry your shawl didn't work out, but I would try to give a new home and maybe a WIP that would grow up into something we can both live with, :)

Blogger ate my comment! Anyway, I'd be happy to take that yarn off your hands and give a new home with new opportunities. :)

I am a complete sucker for pink! Sorry your shawel isn't working out, ope your Shaelyn is going better? I have a half finished Shaelyn stashed away somewhere that I should probably get on with....

I would love that yarn, I love WM yarn.

I am just so surpriced that you are giving it away ;oD

Poor little WM! I would love to restore its wooly self-confidence and knit it into a worthy project. I promise I wouldn't hoard it like my one other skein of WM. If I knit that one, I'll have zero WM, so in the stash it stays.

Also, thanks for the great idea for Shaelyn! I've had that pattern forever and never knit it. A two-color one would be fabulous. I can't wait to see how yours turns out!

Oh I would love either - this is such a good idea! :0)

That's a very generous offer. I have never even squidged WM before due to concern about developing a habit I could not afford. I would love to be considered. Thank you

I've never felt Wollmeise, so it's possible that if I won I wouldn't like it! Doubt it though. ;)

...Apparently your blog doesn't like to post comments. xP

It ate mine too!

I would live the WM - those are such vibrant colors - certainly understand your thinking they would work together (I would have thought so too). I have NO luck scoring WM, sadly....

Oooh, my most favouritest colours in the whole wide world! Even partly knitted up, I bet you could sell it fairly easily.

Pity it didn't work out as you wanted. I've never tried WM, so maybe this is my chance?

I love that pink Wm. I am so sorry that the pattern/yarn combo didn't work for you....

Sorry your yarn isn't being co-operative. You are very generous to be giving it away! I hope that you find a lucky lucky person to whip it into shape.

I'm across the pond (by Disney World) and saw your post on the Small Shawls board on Raverly. I'm sorry your shawl isn't what you expected. The two colors are my sister's very favorite, and I would use them together to knit her a Clapotis :)

Oh my - I do love those colours! And wollmeise - I would happily take it off your hands and make shawls with it! yum!

Faraway So Close seems to be one of those patterns that looks best with a riot of colors -- the more the merrier. I've yet to knit with Wollmeise but i would give those skeins a good home and make something worthy of the wonderful colors. Good luck with your next project!

Oh my stars! I've never been lucky enough to experience wollmise, and whilst it's such a shame that you weren't enjoying it...i'm going to obviously add a comment as even if it's only the smallest of chances, it's too good to pass lol

What a lovely idea, I just got my first spinning wheel this week so would love to go in the hat for the alpaca as its not something I've tried yet :)

I'm sorry the shawl isn't working out for you again I haven't tried WM but it looks a lovely colour.

I have only dreamed about knitting with WM. Maybe if it came to the desert southwest, it would behave better. Let me give it a try. Lynn

A new blog that I like the look of! Awesome. :) Oh! I would love to be entered in both your contests, but if that's taking the mickey a little, just the fibre one please.

Oh that purple Wollmeise is gorgeous! I'm sad that you haven't been able to make it work for you. Lots of luck for your next project xxx

I saw your post on Ravelry and had no idea you had a blog (how I didn't know this when I follow you on twitter is a mystery).
So I have been looking at your lovely shawls and many other pictures, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's great that you are managing to write cheery blog despite the anguish you both must have been feeling over recent months. I remember seeing my mums awful bone scans and my heart hitting the floor, but she had several happy years after that.
So I hope you both have many more happy years, despite the pain and stress.

I can't believe you are giving away wollmeise, I've never had any, but I am told it is lovely, so I will happily join the pleads!
Maybe it can become one of my new shawl designs if I am lucky.

My love for alpaca must be in a far away place as I have plenty here and very little desire to spin it, but I'm sure you will find a very happy home for it.

I think something more geometric in design rather than lacy would work. I would love to have a go at transforming these little orphans into a beautiful swan ...:)
